Are you an experienced buyer who enjoys more than simply processing purchase orders?
As an Buyer – CAPEX & Indirect Procurement, you will be involved in purchasing machinery, equipment and other investments that directly support our projects and operations. You’ll work closely with Engineering and Project teams, influence sourcing decisions, negotiate with suppliers and help turn business requirements into the right commercial solutions.
While this role is a maternity/parental leave cover, it can be a valuable opportunity for you to grow your expertise, take on new challenges, and move your career forward within the company.
You’ll take an active role throughout the CAPEX sourcing process, from understanding requirements to selecting suppliers and negotiating the best commercial conditions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage CAPEX procurement activities covering machinery, equipment and other indirect categories.
- Work closely with Engineering and Project teams to understand specifications, requirements and purchasing needs.
- Lead sourcing processes, evaluate suppliers and support commercial decision-making.
- Negotiate prices, contracts and commercial terms with suppliers.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Participate in the Sourcing Council and divisional/Group CAPEX meetings, giving you exposure to wider procurement activities.
- Ensure purchasing activities follow company policies and procurement procedures.
- Coordinate contract documentation and keep purchasing records accurate and up to date.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and strategic purchasing improvements.
- At least 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, sourcing or a similar role.
- Experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
- Education in Purchasing, Economics, Business, Logistics, Engineering, Law or a related field.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- An analytical and structured approach to your work.
- Advanced knowledge of SAP and MS Office.
- Fluent English at C1 level.
