Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Head of EU Trade Compliance and Logistics to join the international global team. 

Key responsibilities

- Drive overall Logistics and fulfilment strategy for the organization, with customer orientation as a priority.
- Establish and manage an optimal logistics organization in European plants
- Optimize logistics processes (load space, transportation route, inventory management, warehouse, packaging)
- Establish a trade compliance organization within Europe
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies
- Oversee the development and implementation of compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
- Build, manage and mentor a high-performing team across Europe
- Drive operational excellence across assigned projects, including reviews, feasibility assessments, cost-benefit analyses, prioritization, initiation, execution, and closure of all related project activities.
- Identify potential risks
- Cooperate with the management and stakeholders on the global and local level- Define logistics priorities
- Prepare and follow KPI`s in relevant areas
- Prepare the budget for the relevant area

Personality requirements and skills
- Education - University education (Master`s degree)
- Experience – a minimum of 10 years in a similar role, preferably in an automotive sector
- Strong understanding of European regulatory frameworks
- Deep understanding and knowledge of international logistics and trade compliance
- Strong project management capabilities to oversee compliance initiatives, compliance monitoring programs
- Results and goal driven- Strong interpersonal, organizational, problem solving, time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to convey complex concepts clearly
- Reliability, flexibility and responsibility
- Ability to work under pressure
-Willingness to travel for business trips (Europe)
